Transitioning to Natural

I made the decision to go natural about five months ago. Like many women of color I had tried relaxers, and texturizers that for the moment gave my hair what I had thought was a manageable sleeker texture. However, what I started to realize later on was that my hair was thinning out and most assuredly breaking off. I tried doobies and conditionings but my hair would not restore its origin of thickness it had once had when I was younger. I had started you-tubing and looking into women who were going natural and I was very impressed with what I saw. Many satisifed empowering females trading in the "creamy crack" for natural more healthy distinguished hair. Of course the process is tough and it takes a lot of patience, self confidence, and knowledge to transition to natural but the process is a very rewarding one as well. I dedicate this blog to all the individuals who are trasitioning or considering to transition to natural hair.
